Hey friends!

As we come into the Christmas season, while some may be celebrating others will find themselves feeling alone, sad, and heavy. I am here to tell you that it is quite normal to allow those feelings to take place. Be gentle on yourself and give yourself some grace. I want you to know that you are not alone. Surround yourself with those close friends and family members where you can be yourself!

Also, don’t feel obligated to be in situations that make you feel uncomfortable. Sometimes it's okay to be in our feelings if we can recognize that what happened has happened and it's out of our control and embrace a spirit of gratitude and healing. Let me share a little about my feelings during this time. Even though, I appear to have it all together like being a mother, wife, and newly g-ma. I find these seasons to be lonely. My husband and I have lost significantly close relatives. I lost my mom and stepdad who raised me. He lost his father and grandmother and numerous close relatives. We are both in our forties and it's hard to grasp that much loss in such a short period.

Even though we are both surrounded by love we still feel the sadness of the loved one’s loss. What helps us to get through these times is remembering all the countless blessings. Like my health, friends, family, and coworkers, and not to mention this community! Let us all reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and how Jesus came as a baby to give us Hope, Love, Peace, and Eternity! Have a blessed and wonderful Christmas! Be blessed!

For unto us, a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder, And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Might God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)

Love,

Tammy

Merry Christmas! Enjoy this holiday season with those you love and may this season bring you the desires of your heart!

Today my husband and I celebrated our anniversary of being married for 25 years! Woohoo! If you would have asked us back, then if we had seen this coming. We would have both laughed and said, "Heck No!" Haha Well, we did it! We overcame the odds! We started our journey with more than just love, we had goals, and a lot of determination. Life threw us countless amounts of curveballs: with the everyday emotional struggles of ups and downs of family life, financial challenges, and health scares. Instead of letting those challenges pull us apart, we continued to trust in God and allow him to direct and guide his path for our journey. We developed a stronger bond and learned how to lean on each other. With tears and fear we held on. Our faith in God kept us together, we made silent meaningful hugs, our go-to medicine. Our story reminds me that even when life gets tough, love and resilience can help us overcome the odds. So, take heart, and be inspired because no matter where you are in your journey, you have the strength to create your own beautiful story.

So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Matthew 19:16
