Cheers to new challenges and wins! Happy New Year!

Hi friend,

What thoughts come to mind as we transition into the new year? If you're like me then your mind is flooded with goals, visions, and dreams! Let me help you hit the breaks for a minute. I'm writing to you from my dining room table on this cold sunny day in New Jersey. Ideally, I would love to live in a place with warmer weather around this time of year. I will settle for now in my warm cozy fuzzy pj's while sipping on my coffee! Haha

While writing this post I was sitting and reflecting on what I would like to achieve or accomplish this year. I felt this peace that shifted to not stressing myself and focusing on one major goal at a time. One of my main goals is to take more classes as I further my education in the medical profession. In addition to creating the content for my site. Although I have this site I still work full time in the medical field. I am passionate about the two, who knows what the future has in store and maybe I will pursue blogging/content creation full-time.

Another goal is to fix the repairs in my home that have been on our to-do list. I know this sounds boring, unlike all the vision boards with fitness, travel, financial goals, etc... which we all rave about at the beginning of the year. I am not saying that I will not create a vision board. Currently, My husband is picking mine up from Barnes and Noble. We tend to make these huge goals and put so much pressure on ourselves to achieve them not saying anything is wrong with that. But most of the time it is the little things that are the big things we put off that can use the same ambition.

The excitement of creating a vision board using it as a visual guide, and working towards it coming to pass is amazing. But the fact that we don't have control over our lives given life circumstances one must hope and believe that eventually, things will unfold for us as they are meant to be in time. For me, it is about worrying less about what I want things to look like on the outside but rather more about the feelings I gain from it on the inside.

Over the past few years, my family and I have chosen a word that exemplifies what we hope for the coming year. This year my word is abundance. I want abundance in my relationships, finances, and knowledge. I am aiming for quality time with friends and family, financial freedom, and expansion of my vocabulary and knowledge. As I mature in age I would like to take more risks and get out of my comfort place and try new things hence why I started this blog! ;)

As you reflect on how you want your year to look like, remember that the little things are the big things!

Here's to a year of intentions, creativity, and wins!

Tammy

P.S. What's your word for the year? Share please, I'd love to know!
